Gun Control
ANTI-GUN CONTROL - GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION IS VIOLATION OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTION
The Second Amendment to the Constitution (Article II of the Bill of Rights) reads as follows:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
[What this Article says is: The U.S. Military, and State and Local Police forces, are not the only ones allowed to keep and carry guns. It is not imaginable that the 'Holocaust' of Jews in Europe could have occurred if the Jews, and everyone else in Europe under NAZI occupation of Europe, had been allowed to "keep and bear arms".]
infringe, by definition, is an encroachment that is not lawful because it violates a lawful right or prerogative for self-protection.
The right, the privelege, the prerogative, of the people to keep and to bear arms was inserted in full recognition of the separate requirement for a national military force (the "well regulated militia").
The Founding Fathers had just completed a real life bloody revolution, wherein arms in the hands of citizens functioned to defeat and overthrow despotic rule by the Monarchy of England.
Horrific crimes committed with guns are not committed by honest hard-working wage earners. Such crimes that have reached epidemic proportions are committed by malcontents and idiots that are products of the atheistic-socialist system of education over the last fifty years, and deliberate destruction of all meaningful employment through destruction of the industrial engineering and manfacturing industries of this nation during that same interval of time.
Gun control legislation is a prelude and a foundation for confiscation of all guns, and a flagrant violation of the right of citizens to keep and bear them - including high-powered assault weapons.
In light of the Second Amendment and its fundamental purpose for existence, there is no defensible argument to support gun-control legislation. If you think you have one, I'd be glad to engage you in reply.
Legal remedy available under the power and authority of the President to preserve and protect the right of citizens to keep and bear arms is not clear. It would seem more reasonable that such protection under the Constitution must come from the Governors and Legislators of each of the several States.
A final note: These United States, under its Constitution of government, could not have come into existence had the British monarchy been able to impose gun control, with power to divest the colonists of their right to keep and bear arms. Such an attempt was finally made by the British establishment. That attempt resulted in first shots, at Lexington and Concord, that launched the American Revolution.

Footnote of August 1,'99:
If the killing of innocents is the argument for gun-control laws, as argued by the socialists, perhaps heart-attacks from obesity, forced installation of airbags in autos and auto-accidents, responsible for more deaths of innocents than guns, then fast-food restaurants, airbags and autos should be outlawed.
