In the summer of 1944, I (Bernard Palicki - a first generation American of Polish descent) was a messenger for Western Union in Toledo, Ohio. In that position, I delivered a few of the many "We regret to inform you..." telegrams that changed the color of stars from Blue to Gold on window flags of homes that had fathers, sons and brothers who died in bloody conflict in distant places with hard-to-pronounce names. World War II was the greatest and most expansive war in the history of mankind. The entire Earth was in flames. Only a few places were spared the horrors of death and destruction from armed conflict. Unless existing rules that allowed the United States to become a 'socialist welfare state' (since the Great Depression of the 1930s), and those rules for money and tax policy are allowed to run rampant, are changed, now and dramatically, all who suffered and died, serving your personal and our national interest in all of our wars, before and since World War II, will have suffered and died for nothing (in vain, as Abraham Lincoln expressed in his 5-minute speech at Gettysburg). From Abe Lincoln, to my Brother Eddie (Edwin Z. Palicki) who was a combat infantry man in the Battle of Bastogne, with the 26th Infantry Divison of Gen. Patton's Third Army in World War II - as my brother Eddie expressed to me - hold foremost in your mind - "all the heros are dead". It's the summer of 1944 all over again. Two things are different:
If you don't like the expression, 'tyranny of financial oppression', try the term, 'usury' on an unprecedented scale in the history of mankind. If you don't like either of those two descriptions or characterizations of the 'enemy', try, 'the biggest confidence game in the history of mankind' - a con game on a global scale, where, like P.T. Barnum (the great master of the circus and side shows) observed, 'there's a sucker born every minute'. The observations, analyses and 'Corrective Actions' set forth by this product are my own, from seventy years of life experience and more than sixty years of work experience (working for wages); forty of those years in the sophisticated and hi-tech world of the defense and aerospace business and industry. Dialogue and discussion of the most serious social, economic and political problems and issues, unprecedented in the history of the United States as a sovereign nation, are superficial to the extreme. It is my personal purpose, objective and agenda, to raise the level of social, economic and political discussion and dialogue above the 'noise' level - using my computer on the Internet for global and domestic consumption for this purpose, objective and agenda. I'm too old to harbor any other purpose, objective or agenda. Some personal background is relevant, (1) to document it for my grandchildren and (2) because it helps explain how 'Natural Law...' (the thesis of this web site) came to be. The insight I try to provide about natural law, through this web site and the 'Natural Law...' thesis of this site, contains all my ammunition for whatever meaningful contribution I hope to make to raise the level of discussion and dialogue above the 'noise' level. Born of immigrant parents into the Great Depression, youngest of ten children, hardships started early. At the age of eleven I was giving my father shots of morphine to alleviate the pain of cancer that finally killed him shortly after my 12th birthday. Great Depression children grew up early and fast. (That experience contributed much to the knowledge and insight that all of us at 65 and older possess). Work to put food on the table took precedence over good grades in school (but never deterred getting them). Raised in a religious blue-collar work environment, where hard physical work and hardship is the norm, I was always asking (silently) why life and hard physical labor should always be so cruel, so difficult, and so un-rewarding - why prayers go un-answered. Mother was raised in a convent in Poland near the Ukranian border. She never got past the third grade after her Mother's family brought her to the United States. She gave me the answer, when I was twelve, just after we buried my Father. She said, simply, to me in Polish, "Prayer is for personal communication with God. God only helps those who help themselves." The rest of my life was guided by those few words of wisdom. With the outbreak of the Korean War on my 20th birthday in 1950, after completing a grueling year of intensive technical school training, I was given orders that assigned me as a Technical Instructor of electronics fundamentals and airborne radar mechanics in the U.S. Air Force, and spent the duration of that war in that capacity. (Some of my class mates from elementary amd high school were not that fortunate, and died on foreign soil.) From that beginning, I continued for many years in civilian life as a computer systems field-service engineer for repair support, operation and maintenance of radar, digital and analog computer systems. Previously spent four years in field-service engineering maintenance (IBM Customer Engineer) for electro-mechanical and electronic calculating machines and systems, in support of private commercial business pursuits. IBM machines and systems included the IBM 601 and 602A Calculating Punch, IBM 604 Electronic Calculating Punch, IBM 650 Magnetic Drum Calculator, and all the other punched card data processing equipment and accounting machines for all business and accounting applications). Maintenance, failure analysis and repair was performed in the offices of major industrial companies and corporations (Willys-Overland, Libbey Glass, Doehler-Jarvis, Spicer, Champion Spark Plug, Electric Auto-Lite (resident here), Surface Combustion, DeVilbiss Spray, and others). Pressure? Stress? You don't know what pressure and stress is until the IBM 604 breaks down, holding up the weekly payroll for 7,500 factory employees, and you have to find, in a structured maze for the transfer of digital data, from holes in cards through brushes on a contact roll, through 2,000 vacuum tubes, the one failed brush, relay contact point or vaccuum tube that caused the payroll calculations to go bad - and no one gives you any 'slack' to take your time. Roughly twenty years were spent in field and depot repair support of the radar bombing and navigation computer system that made the B-52 a major weapon for nuclear war and destruction, and protected U.S. soil through round-the clock massive retaliation policy - the only language that a military adversary understands. (See the B-52 sub-link below.) Roughly fifteen years were spent as a 'project control specialist' and 'program analyst' for multi-million $dollar programs and projects. These included all of the B-52 bomb-nav computer system modification projects, the Saturn Instrument Unit Program for the Apollo Moon mission, engineering integration of the BQQ5 sonar system for the Trident Submarine, and payloads integration for Spacelab/Space Shuttle missons. Last corporate effort, but not least, was development of the cost accounting work breakdown structure for Work Package 1 (the Martin-McDonnell Douglas Team against Boeing) for design development, fabrication, assembly and operation of the hardware and software for the Habitation and Laboratory Modules for the Space Station (before the politicians in Federal Government dictated redesign to accomodate the Russians, and otherwise prop up Russia's space program in the aftermath of the tearing down of the Berlin Wall). [Re-design and re-naming of the 'Space Station' (from 'Freedom' to 'Alpha'), was forced for 'new world order' foreign policy reasons. Space Station is not 'bad science'. Holding it up or using it for foreign policy reasons is 'bad foreign and destructive domestic' policy. It is the first and only platform and program to exist that allows all scientific disciplines to participate, and to communicate with one another, to expand human knowledge on all scientific study fronts. Scientists who may oppose Space Station, do so for 'professional jealousy' reasons, because they don't have a piece of the action. Politicians and others who oppose 'Space Station' couldn't pour piss out of a boot with instructions on the heel.] I'm one of the priveleged few who witnessed - with 'hands-on-hardware experience' - evolution of the calculating machine - from the complex of mechanical counters and storage units integrated with electro-magnetic relay-logic circuitry, through vacuum tube counters, switches and registers, to the architecture of the solid-state micro-processing devices of today. Natural law was in my face every time the calculating machine, computer system or radar system failed, and I was called upon to analyse and fix the failure. Each and every time the process was the same - examine symptoms of the failure, find or isolate specific cause of the failure, then fix the failure by removing cause of the failure, and doing whatever else was necessary to prevent recurrence of the failure. Who does not want to be the Captain of his own ship and the master of his own soul ? (Paraphrase from a classic literary work.) Experience with severe adversity and hardships, my own as well as those of others close to me, for causes or reasons not of their making or beyond individual control to do anything about them, combined with a passion for independence, and initiated what became a long search for answers to nagging questions. Nothing as severe as the trials of Job, but sufficient to curse at God and unknown causes. Search involved identification, observation and analyses of events over which I could exercise personal control. Observations and analysis of matters beyond my control led to the conclusions and views expressed in this web site. I wasn't looking for the conclusions I found. (Objective analysis never presumes a pre-determined conclusion. A pre-determined conclusion, better known as guess-work, only offers options to consider in following rabbit-trail tracks to the rabbit - the source of the tracks. This is the hard fact of life in failure analysis in the iron or granite hard and demanding disciplines of science and engineering.) From a lifetime of adversity and field engineering failure-analysis work experience, it has become self-evident (to me) that natural law and God's law are one and the same law. That was my conclusion from my limited and imperfect knowledge of natural law, and examination of the symptoms of the breakdown of domestic social order, attendant to the increase of domestic immorality and violence. These prevailing conditions are only 'symptoms' or 'effects' of the causes of failure of any system of organized living. They are just symptoms and effects, not causes in and of themselves. With conclusion, acceptance and resignation that 'natural law and God's law are one and the same law', existence of invisible 'natural law' becomes self-evident proof of the existence of an invisible 'Divine Authority', commonly referred to as 'God'. The existence of invisible 'natural law', that sustains the universe and controls the weather, is visible evidence of the existence of an invisible 'supreme intelligence' that exerts the force of its will on all of creation. Exercising our free will, we can choose to cooperate with 'natural law' - the will of the 'supreme intelligence' - our God; or, through ignorance (the absence of knowledge) and indifference (not caring), we can choose to ignore 'natural law'. It is a certainty, all human acts or behavior contrary to 'natural law' will always result in failure - and, always, in the development of conditions and circumstances that confound our reason and lead us astray into immorality and destructive violence. 'Natural law' has some tolerance, but 'natural law' is mostly unforgiving. Unforgiving natural law is the 'Iron Hand of God'. The dictates of invisible 'natural law' must be followed precisely by the 'engineers' who design the machines, if they are to function or work successfully. These vary from the simple hand tool to the sophisticated machines like the automobile, airplane and computer - tools and machinery that contribute so immeasurably to alleviating the physical pain and suffering that comes with difficult labor - the difficult labor required to improve the material circumstances and conditions of mortal and material existence of life on Earth. (Where our tools and machinery are extensions of our hands, arms and legs, the calculating machine or computer is an extension of the human mind.) Your radio, television set and computer work successfully, because the 'scientists' and 'design engineers' have no choice but to obey the dictates of invisible 'natural law' that makes them possible. Loss of work and work opportunity sufficient to earn incomes a traditional family can live on, and frustration and destruction of the 'American Dream', were not caused by advances in science and technology that derived from increased knowledge of natural law. That loss, frustration and destruction, including loss of 'national sovereignty' of the United States (its ability to determine its own destiny), has been caused by the Federal Government, operating prior to and since 'The Great Depression of the 1930's', under control of 'atheist world-class socialists' in-league with the 'money changers'. This un-holy alliance (between Federal Government and the Central Banking System) is enabled to cause frustration and destruction, because this alliance was created and enabled to do so under the Federal Reserve Banking Act of 1913. This document (I have determined and concluded), by a simple Act of Congress, is the invisible constitution of government of the United States, and has been since 1913. This is not 'conspiracy theory', this is a 'fact'. This is a document that exists in the public record, written cleverly enough to be a product of design. It is written too cleverly to be a product of ignorance. Chronic un-employment, forced mobility, and the pain and misery of poverty are not natural; they have never been natural. Un-employment, under-employment and the pain and misery of poverty are caused by the making of laws that are contrary to natural law and interfere with the cost structures and trade process of the market place. Many advances in science and technology were incentivized over the ages by war and the spectre of war; but most advances occurred because of the brilliance of the intellect of a few (considering the size of Earth's population) to improve the circumstances and conditions of survival through their knowledge and application of 'natural law'. Opportunities from and advances in science and technology were made in spite of, and independent of, 'government' and the 'money-changers', not because of 'atheistic-socialist government' and the 'money-changers' in this fragile house of God. As in years gone by when I carried a tool bag, I have prepared for you, my failure analysis of root of causes of social domestic instability, disorder and violence in the United States during the closing years of the 20th Century.
