Appendix 5.3 Using the Work Breakdown Structure of the National Household To Support Technical Argument For Corrective Actions This Appendix summarizes assertions in previous Appendices. Following this summary, a description of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of the United States as a national household is used to support the 'Corrective Action' conclusions of this Natural Law Thesis. The concept of national households, as expansions of the family household, is as old as mankind itself. Other than that specific collection of books of the Old and New Testaments known as the Bible, research over many years did not reveal any other written material of discussion or description of that concept. Proliferation and exacerbation of different interpretations of stories in that collection of books, and in other written material used by the major world wide institutions and traditions of 'religious' beliefs or convictions - to influence, control or restrain human behavior - makes such written material useless to support any technical argument dealing with business, commerce or trade. Proliferation and exacerbation of myopic or narrow views and interpretations by Bible or Koran Thumpers have served only to discredit themselves and their views, to exclude themselves from any significant role in matters of policy or procedure of the state. They have reduced themslves to the role of children who are to be seen but not heard, to be listened to but not tolerated. Most of all, not to be allowed to participate in matters, procedures or business of the state. Not good or bad, just the way that views, positions and convictions have evolved. The foregoing observation is made for the sole purpose of excluding such written material from any technical argument or discussion. That exclusion is treated separately in the 'Essays'. For the sake of technical argument, stripped of any relationship to 'religious' beliefs or convictions, all technical argument over different ways to influence, control or restrain human behavior rests on definition of the word or term 'economy'. The 'economy' did this. The 'economy' did that. The 'economy' is 'overheated'. The economy is 'stagnant'. As stated elsewhere, and repeated here, the term 'economy', is derived from the Greek, 'ecos' meaning 'house' and 'metrein' meaning 'to manage'. The term, 'economics', then, by definition, means, a study of ways and means to manage the national household. The Technical Appendices of this 'Natural Law Thesis', Appendices 1 through 4, is a specific selection of technical 'facts'. Those technical facts are not disputable - they cannot be denied or challenged. If you think so - be my guest - have at it (you are invited to challenge these facts). The set of four 'Corrective Actions' of this 'Natural Law Thesis' are conclusions - conclusions designed to break the back of the 'status quo' that has evolved over all centuries of human experience. It is a contention of this 'Natural Law Thesis', that the 'status quo', that has evolved over all centuries of human experience, has to be broken and replaced, to serve improvement of mortal and material life interests, circumstances and conditions, for all individuals on the face of this Earth - not just the favored few who control the 'status quo', and who control the 'status quo' using the tools or instruments of money (currency) to maintain the 'status quo' for personal interest and personal gain. UNDERLYING AND UNREFUTABLE ASSERTIONS OF THIS NATURAL LAW THESIS From Appendix 1 - Fall of the Gold Standard: 1. Necessity - as dictated by national and global experience - for abandonment of the 'gold standard' as a unit of measure for the exchange value of units of currency, where units of currency in a mortal and material existence is a measure of the cost or worth of the individual human life. From Appendix 2 - Fundamental Structure of Any National Economy (or household): 1. Fundamental structure of the national household is exactly the same as the fundamental structure of the electronic circuit. 2. Circular flow of money through the domestic trade process is exactly the same as the circular flow of electron energy of the electronic circuit. 3. How distribution of units of currency across the three terms of the Balance Equation (Assets = Liabilities + Capital) from the accounting discipline is exactly the same as operation of an analog computer circuit (see Figure A2-2) - where the vector force of Capital is the result of the opposing vector forces of Assets vs Liabilities; where Capital represents the net position of any individual or business structure (wherein all individuals, business structures and institutions of government have their own Balance Equation, and live and die according to relative amount and distribution of income, and their resultant net position of poverty or wealth, measured in units of currency). 4. Figure A2-1, Fundamental Structure and Circular Flow of Money illustrates how the structure of the national household duplicates the fundamental structure of the electronic/electrical circuit. It is one of two ways to examine and understand the structure of the national household under a constitution of and for government. (This figure emphasizes circulation of money as dictated by the marriage of the private central banking system with our constitution of government.) From Appendix 3 - Dynamics of the Balance Equation: A presentation of the Balance Equation (Assets = Liabilities + Capital) from the accounting discipline in vector form. Illustration and description here demonstrate the dynamic and algebraic relationship of the vector force of Assets (what you 'own') vs Liabilities (what you 'owe'). Illustration and description show how the resultant vector force of this algebraic difference (between Assets and Liabilities) indicates your specific net position at any given point in time, in exactly the same manner as the distribution of energy across the three fundamental elements of the electronic circuit, using the rectangular system of coordinates. From Appendix 4 - Demand and Supply - The Relationship: Illustration and description of the interaction of the natural law of demand and supply, where the intersection of human demand and human ability to satisfy human demands of the market place establishes what is called an 'equilibrium' price. This illustration distinguishes between changing costs/prices as result of the interaction of human demand and human ability to supply, and how resultant 'equilibrium' costs/prices are driven upward solely as a consequence of unnatural and uncontrolled increase of total national money supply, at some rate that exceeds the natural growth rate of the total national polpulation headcount. Appendices A5-1 and A5-2 provide empirical public-record data that connects perverse use of the U.S. Constitution of Government, using the instruments of the Federal Reserve Banking Act of 1913 and the Bretton Woods Agreement of 1945, to turn over management and control of the market place to a private, unelected and unaccountable central banking authority. A significant disclosure here is the fact that establishment of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were put in place using the U.S. Constitution of Government to do so (without ratification by the States). The following illustrations summarize Appendices A5-1 and A5-2:
COMMENTARY Establishment of the World Bank and the IMF provided the vehicle for establishment of an alliance of unelected and unaccountable finance ministers of the most industrialized nations on Earth, using whoever occupies the Office of President of the United States, to function as a 'hey-boy' to do their bidding (beginning with Truman during the Korean War). Franklin D. Roosevelt (elected to four terms in office) provided for establishment of the United States as a socialist welfare state, in the wake of the Great Depression (interrupted only by World War II). Harry Truman, his hand-picked successor, provided for use of the United States, through its Constitution of government, to promote (through the Bretton Woods agreement of 1945) continuation of the socialist agenda on a world-wide basis in the wake of World War II. [Truman fired MacArthur as a commander of military force during the Korean War (1950-1952), because MacArthur was treating it as an act of war. Truman dictated that conflict as a 'police action'. Thousands of U.S. CITIZENS died in that 'police action' for nothing - because the precedent of that 'police action' continues - 47 years after its inception.] The U.S. President, as Commander-in-Chief, controls the role and purpose of the U.S. Military. Since election of Clinton in 1992, a Marx-Lenin socialist by ideology (as demonstrated by his actions and behavior), the U.S. Military (in the groundrules initiated by Truman) is reduced to functioning as only one of the several Military Units of participating nations of the NATO Agreement, to function as a mercenary Army of Occupation, to serve the interests of the unelected and unaccountable finance ministers of the most industrialized nations on Earth. Resultant international trade agreements, as they exist through GATT and NAFTA (and two more copy-cat trade agreements in the making, to include all of South America and Asia), show the hand of this alliance of finance ministers - that is - execution of international legal instruments that will complete division of Earth into four territorial trading blocs under their control by the year 2020. [This global agenda is currently being pushed and advanced through global environmental controls (Re the December 1997 Global Environmental Summit and Warming Agreements out of Kyoto,Japan), under the leadership of socialist Vice-President, Al Gore, who (like all lawyer-politicians of the world) couldn't pour piss out of a boot with instructions on the heel.] The end result of this division, by these agreements of global proportions, is subservience of all nations, including their Constitutions of Government, to the resolutions and dictates of the United Nations General Assembly, and the terms and conditions of the four international trade agreements of global proportion. This spells destruction of all national sovereignties in all matters of trade and the market place, and plants the seeds for future and cataclysmic conflict of disaffected nations, or bodies, of effected and dis-affected bodies of human population. WHAT IS A WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE (WBS)? A Work Breakdown Structure, or WBS, is the product of analysis of work required to design, build, test, operate and maintain a product or a system. Figure A5-3, Work Breakdown Structure of the National Household illustrates:
An end item product or system cannot be understood (TO OPERATE AND/OR MAINTAIN) without knowledge of the 'generation breakdown' of the material elements of the end item product or system, and how the separate parts or elements relate to one another. (Piece parts of the national household are the individual citizens of the Total National Population Headcount.) The 'automobile' is an obvious example of an 'end item' system. The automobile, as an end item, is used here to assist understanding of the concept of 'system' and 'generation breakdown' of a system. (All national households are 'end item' systems.) The automobile (simply, 'auto' - the car you drive), is a 'system'. This 'system' breaks down into several separate sub-systems, such as: the ignition system, the cooling system, the fuel system, the suspension system, etc. The 'auto', as a system, is an end item. As an end item, it resides as a single item at the top or first level of a triangle. The ignition, the cooling, the fuel, and the suspension systems - because each of these next lower level assemblies are of equal importance to the total function of the 'auto' system - reside at the second level of 'generation breakdown', and are referred to as sub-systems. Each of the next lower level assemblies of these sub-systems reside at the third level of this 'generation breakdown', like the Family Tree, or grand parent, parent and child relationship. This generation breakdown continues, for as many levels as required, until the lowest level of piece-parts or assembly of piece-parts, in a dis-assembly sequence, is reached. Assemblies are made of piece-parts specifically designed and joined together to provide some intended function. This process, wherein piece-parts are specifically designed and joined together, to form an assembly to provide some intended function, is called, 'the packaging of functions'. Electric or Electronic functions are packaged into electronic/electric assemblies, as distinguished from mechanical functions packaged into mechanical assemblies. 'Functions', are, in turn, specific tasks or jobs required of the various parts joined together to make or constitute an 'end item' assembly. Some examples: The specific 'task', 'job' or 'function' of the 'fuel system', is to provide a combustible or flammable liquid to the internal combustion engine - to convert chemical energy into mechanical energy required to physically move the 'auto'; of the 'ignition system', to cause combustion of the flammable liquid required for the engine to run; to provide a 'suspension system' required for a smooth and comfortable ride. Piece-parts exist at all levels of the 'generation breakdown' of the 'work breakdown structure'. While many of the piece parts are different - different in form, fit and function - all of them are essential to the durability and function of the end item system. When even one of the piece-parts fails, the entire system suffers a malfunction and breaks down, or shuts down, or fails to function as it was designed to function for its intended purposes and objectives. (The superiority of Natural Law at work.) A continuation of this description of the structure of the national household (any national household), as an end item system (for living in some organized way or fashion - generally painted with a broad brush using such terms as 'society' or 'civilization'), using the WBS approach, is contained in Appendix A5-3.1. There's enough here to get you thinking for months - to compare facts of this data with national and international business news events (For instance: Discussion of methods for taking the Census to determine national population headcount, for privatization of Social Security [dependence on the vagaries of investment and performance of the stock market in place of retirement pensions by federal government guarantees], foreign policy news and events, and the continued restructuring of business structures (mergers and acquisitions), in the coming months and years, and a forthcoming 'State of the Union Address' in January 1998.
