B-52s (F-Models) at Columbus AFB were equipped with the MD-1 Automatic Astrocompass System. The MD-1 was designed and manufactured by the Kollsman Instrument Co. (located at Hershey, PA at the time), to solve the 'Celestial Navigation Problem'. An analog computer, the MD-1 had a star tracker mechanism that imitated the geometry for solving the celestial navigation problem. The mechanism was controlled by electronics and provided required aircraft heading by locking on to the light intensity of stars pre-selected by the Navigator for their crew's flight missions.

Now, about Earth's 'wobble' effect on climate changes, as follows:

All the ignorant, insidious, self-interested power politicians of all nations on Earth cannot change or modify the physical motions of planet Earth as ordained by God to control Earth's climate when He created the Universe.

All the idiots in power will impose the false legislation (Cap and Trade) that presumes human life on Earth can control or effect climate changes. And there isn't a damn thing you or I can do about their legislation that will tax the population of the U.S. into a new age of slavery. Below are the facts about global warming and global cooling:

Our planet Earth has two physical motions that drive our calendar to account for years, months, and days, and the seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter:

1. Duration of one counter-clockwise spin of Earth on its axis gives us one day with a Sunrise in the East and a Sunset in the West.

2. Its spin axis tilted at 23.5 degrees away from the Sun, duration of one elliptical orbit of Earth around the Sun occurs over an elapsed period of time called a 'year', causing changes of weather during each of the four seasons of any given year.

Question: Why, in its elliptical orbit around the Sun, when Earth is 3 million miles closer to the Sun, is it colder (Winter) in the Northern Hemispere, while it is warmer (Summer) in the Southern Hemisphere?

Answer: Due to Earth's spin axis constant tilt at 23.5 degrees away from the Sun, the angle of incidence of parallel radiation of light and heat from the Sun is less direct during the winter months in the Northern Hemispere, causing the frigid conditions in the Northern Hemispere; at the same time, that radiation is more direct in the Southern Hemisphere, causing the heat of summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Continuous orbit of Earth around the sun causes reverse of those conditions in both hemispheres.

A third motion of Earth gets little or no attention for its effects on global warming and global cooling (recurrent ice ages). Spinning like a top, tilted at a constant 23.5 degrees away from its elliptical orbit around the sun, the Earth has a wobble - that wobble is like decay of the spin axis of the spinning top. One Earth wobble is measured to require roughly 26,000 years (25,800 years) to complete its duration.

Inclination of Earth's spin axis to its orbital plane varies over 40,000 years by about 1 degree.

As Earth revolves about the sun and spins on its axis, an imaginary line runs through both the north and south poles of earth pointing to Polaris, the North Star. Earth's wobble causes the spin axis to trace a small circle in the sky. (Earth's lines of latitude and longtitude are projected on the sky, providing a 'celestial sphere' for locating all stars, planets and galaxies.) In 1500 AD, Earth's spin axis was pointing through the North Pole marking the North Celestial Pole at 3.5 degrees from Polaris. In 2100 AD (our next century), Earth's spin axis will be pointing to the North Celestial Pole at only .5 degrees from Polaris, the closest that the spin axis of earth will ever point to Polaris (for the next 25,800 years). About the year 14,000 AD, the spin axis of earth will be pointing within 5 degrees of Vega, and Vega, not Polaris, will be the North Star at that time.

In the jargon of celestial navigation and astronomy, Earth's wobble, as just described, is called "precession of the equinoxes" - I call it the 'wobble'.

In ultimate effect, Earth's wobble causes the climate in Florida to migrate to Michigan and vice versa over a period of roughly 25,800 years. Changes in weather patterns are a consequence of this very slowly moving migration. Responsible scientists are fully aware of the above facts and readily admit we are in a warming trend. Recent reports tell of evidence of vegetation found in Greenland. Earth's wobble, not CO2 (carbon dioxide), is the cause of the recurrence of ice ages, and is currently at the root of causes of global warming (to whatever extent such warming might exist at the present time).

A report by NASA Science News in November 2009 reports evidence that Mars was once a green planet, but destruction of the CO2 resulted in Mars becoming a lifeless desert. An excerpt follows:

What happened? Why did Mars dry up and freeze over? These haunting questions have long puzzled scientists. A few years from now we might finally know the answer, thanks to a new orbiter NASA will send to Mars called MAVEN (short for Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution).

"The goal of MAVEN is to figure out what processes were responsible for those changes in the climate," says Bruce Jakosky, Principal Investigator for MAVEN at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

One way or another, scientists believe, Mars must have lost its most precious asset: its thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide. CO2 in Mars's atmosphere is a greenhouse gas, just as it is in our own atmosphere. A thick blanket of CO2 and other greenhouse gases would have provided the warmer temperatures and greater atmospheric pressure required to keep liquid water from freezing solid or boiling away.

Over the last four billion years, Mars somehow lost most of that blanket. Scientists have proposed various theories for how that loss happened. Perhaps an asteroid impact blew most of the atmosphere into space in one catastrophic event. Or maybe erosion by the solar wind - a stream of charged particles emanating from the sun - could have slowly stripped the atmosphere away over eons. The planet's surface might also have absorbed the CO2 and locked it up in minerals such as carbonate."
